The Expanse: Gathering Storm - 3D print model

This is the final 3D print version of my Gathering Storm design. It has is much more detail than the previous one, including its self-repairing armoured skin.

Without spoilers, the Gathering Storm appears in book 7 of the Expanse. It's a Laconian Imperial Navy warship, fast attack destroyer of the Pulsar Class. Laconia is a militaristic authoritarian autocracy, it’s kind of trending these days too. In the Expanse story, this ship represents the transition phase between Martian engineering tradition of the Laconians and those revolutionary proto-molecule technologies they fully implement later.

I have been designing this ship for a long time now, and it’s getting close to completion, the last step will be a proper 3D rendering model.
The book is describing it looking like “a dagger split in half”, and having a crystalline aspect, very mineral look. It’s also famous for having a kind of self-healing armored skin (a protomolecule technology) covering it. Something I have struggled to fine-tuned , using many custom geometry nodes, so that it is both artistically relevant and technically sound (manifold) for 3D printing.
