The Shared World Prelude: Red days of 2030's - Red California

A second concept art for my personal project: Red days of the 2030s (The Shared World).

In the 2030's, climate change is deeply reshaping landscapes since the average temperature rise has reached 1,5 in 2028 and rising. One of the most destructive effect is frequent wildfires in over-extended urban areas. An issue exacerbated by soil artificialisation and excessive water consumption. This is the Pyrocene era, the time of great fires.

Then will be the time of ashes and smoke, the grey days of the 2040s.

Technique: looking for a new 2D+AI workflow, It’s a mixed base of photographs, digital painting and processed with Stable Diffusion (img2img), upscaled with Magnific.ai, finished with Photoshop.
